YSD supports well-rounded students with outstanding academic achievements, active involvement in extracurricular activities and participation in community service. This scholarship applies to those who wish to pursue full-time studies at Undergraduate levels in prominent universities locally and overseas.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME (LOCAL)

Yayasan Sime Darby invites qualified students who will commence their undergraduate programme in September 2018 after completing their STPM or Foundation/Matriculation studies as well as those who are in their first year of undergraduate studies to apply for education sponsorship to pursue undergraduate studies at recognised Malaysian academic institutions approved by YSD.

YSD are looking for well-rounded Malaysian candidates who have attained excellent academic achievement, demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and potential and devote time to make an impact to the community through their extra-curricular activities.

Eligibility and Minimum Requirement

Applicant for this programme must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Malaysian;
2. Age 25 years or below;
3. STPM/Pre-University/Foundation/Local Matriculation/Diploma (minimum CGPA of at least 3.30); or 3A’s for A-Level programme;
4. Total monthly gross household income of RM10,000 and below;
5. Active participation in extra-curricular activities, sporting events and community service;
6. Strong leadership qualities through various leadership positions held in school and societies.

Accepted Fields of Study

Scholarships will be offered to candidates who are inclined to pursue the following fields of study, subject to university’s admission offer:

Value Of Scholarship

Full scholarship covers tuition fees, living allowance, books allowance and computer allowance.

Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies.?

Note:?The scholarship will only cover expenses incurred after the award to recipients (i.e. upon execution of the scholarship agreement).

Service?Bond Period

On completion of studies, scholars will be required to serve Sime Darby Group of Companies for 2 to 4 years, depending on the value of the scholarship.?

Yayasan Sime Darby invites qualified Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or diploma holders from recognised academic institutions to apply for education sponsorship to pursue undergraduate studies at recognised Indonesian universities approved by YSD.

YSD are looking for well-rounded Malaysian candidates who have attained excellent academic achievement, demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities as well as devote time to make an impact to the community through their extra-curricular activities.

Eligibility and Minimum Requirement

Applicant for this programme must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Malaysian;
2. Age 25 years or below;
3. STPM/Diploma (minimum CGPA of at least 3.00);?
4. Total monthly gross household income of RM10,000 and below;
5. Active participation in extra-curricular activities, sporting event and community service;
6. Strong leadership qualities through various leadership positions held in school and societies;
7. Good communication skills.

Accepted Fields of Study

Scholarships will be offered to candidates who are inclined to pursue the following fields of study, subject to the university’s admission offer:

Engineering and Sciences related courses:

1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Agriculture and Plantation related

Value Of Scholarship

Full scholarship includes tuition fees, living allowance, book allowance, computer allowance, shipping allowance, and flight ticket for beginning and end of study.

Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies.

Service?Bond Period

On completion of studies, scholars will be required to serve Sime Darby Group of Companies for 5 to 6 years, depending on the value of the scholarship.
