Course Overview

This programme provides a strong foundation in design, history, technology, sustainability and professional practice. Approved by LAM and provisionally accredited by MQA, it aims to exempt graduates from LAM Part I and is the first step in the professional pathway to becoming a qualified architect in Malaysia. The programme integrates creative vision, BIM mastery, and environmentally responsible practices.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum Grade C in 2 subjects in STPM and a Credit in SPM/O-Level Mathematics or equivalent
• Minimum Grade D in 2 subjects in A-Level, excluding General Paper and a Credit in SPM/O-Level Mathematics
• UEC with minimum 5Bs including Credit in Mathematics
• Foundation with minimum CGPA of 2.00
• Diploma with CGPA 2.00
• Architecture-related Diploma with CGPA 2.00 (credit transfer subject to APU Academic Board approval)

Additional Requirements: Credit pass in Mathematics may be waived if higher qualification includes Mathematics with equivalent/higher achievement. Pass the Architecture Aptitude Test and submit Portfolio or attend Interview as required.

English Requirements

• IELTS : 5.0
• TOEFL IBT : 40
• Pearson (PTE) : 47
• MUET : Band 3.5

Career opportunities include: Architectural Assistant, Design Consultant, Building Technologist, Urban Designer, Interior Designer, Project Coordinator, Building Information Modeler (BIM), Sustainability Consultant, and Project Manager.
