Course Overview

This programme aims to provide students with the technical knowledge and applied skills necessary for mastering data science and business analytics. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including machine learning, data visualization, forecasting methods, business intelligence, and big data analytics. Students will gain hands-on experience using tools such as R, SAS, and data analytics platforms, preparing them for a career in data science and analytics.

Students will also receive joint professional certification from SAS Institute, USA, and will have access to various industry-driven learning experiences.

Entry Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, or its equivalent qualification as accepted by the Senate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.

English Requirements

• Malaysian Students = BAND 4 MUET
• International Students = Band 5.5 in IELTS or TOEFL score 550
