The HELP MPhil aims to deliver an interdisciplinary education in Business Administration and to enable students to develop in-depth knowledge, expertise and research skills through the application of research to business, entrepreneurship, leadership and management. The research in the MPhil programme is a supervised programme, providing an opportunity for students to gain experience in the design, implementation and communication of research contributing to an existing body of knowledge.
Students who have completed 1 year of the MPhil programme also have the opportunity to progress into the PhD pathway, subject to further assessment.
This is a research-based MPhil programme. Candidate is required to conduct independent research under an academic supervisor/supervisory committee, complete the dissertation of approximately 35, 000 words and orally defend his/her thesis in a proposal defense and attend a viva voce.
Other Requirement: Student to complete the required research methodology course and any other courses as determined by the supervisor no later than 6 months after enrolment and to be ready to present and defend his/her proposal and the final thesis to a thesis committee. The candidate will be awarded the MPhil degree upon the successful viva voce (oral examination) of the thesis
