A programme of research into computer science advances the state of the art through the contribution made by original research and enables you to become an expert in a technical subfield of computer science. You will not only gain valuable practical field experience but will also become a visible member of the research community through your publications in research journals and presentations at research conferences. You are required to produce a substantial thesis at the end of your studies to be awarded the MSU degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science.
Prospective applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and Communication or an equivalent qualification approved by MSU Senate.
Doctor of Philosophy (Computer Science) (PCS) is a research programme by the MSU School of Graduate Studies (SGS).
