The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Midwifery) equips student with pertinent knowledge and skills to become sensitive, safe and competent midwives who will be able to meet the needs of mother and child and their families during the time of birth. It is planned especially for Registered Nurses who have obtained their Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing. Upon completion of the course, the graduate can safely provide maternity and child health services in various aspects of obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatology.
Malaysian Candidate
Possess Diploma in Nursing from recognized institution by MNB
Registered with Malaysia Nursing Board (MNB)
Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses from MNB
Minimum 2 years clinical working experience
International Candidate:
Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by MNB
Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin
Minimum 2 years clinical working experience
Possess three months experience in related specialty
Pass IELTS minimum score of 5.5/TOEFL with minimum 515/215/80
Health Status:
Student must be certified medically fit by registered medical practitioner within 1 month from commencement of the nursing program. Student must be free from any of the following condition
Student must not have any physical disability or impaired sense that hinder nursing dexterity
Registered Midwifery locally and international, Lactation Nurse
