Course Overview

This programme encompasses a comprehensivestudy of financial markets and instruments, financialmodelling, banking and data anlytics. Ideal forstudents who have an inclination towards numbers andan interest in making smart investment and financialtrades, the curriculum provides a solid understanding ofthe workings of the financial markets through acombination of academic rigour and hands-on learning.

Assessments

The assessment is a combination of examinations, projects and assignments - students in their final year are also required to complete a dissertation in the Financial Research Project course. This will enable students to acquire up-to-date vocational skills that are relevant and competitive, which will undoubtedly reflect the complex and challenging nature of the accounting, finance and business realms.

Academic Requirements

?UCSI Foundation Year

Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

STPM

Minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects; and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

?A-Level

Minimum 2 D grades

Minimum 5 credits (B6) including Mathematics and pass in English

?National matriculation/ Foundation

Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects

Canadian Pre-U

Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects

AUSMAT/ HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE

Note (Source: Finance Program Standard):
The credit requirement for Mathematics and pass in English at SPM level for the candidate with STPM or Matriculation/Foundation qualification can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with equivalent / higher achievement.
