Course Overview

The Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) of Bachelor of Management (Technology) with Honours are:

1. Demonstrate competency including digital and numeracy skills in solving organisational problems related to management of technology.
2. Practice professional ethics, good leadership qualities and possess effective interpersonal skills.
3. Embark on lifelong learning programs, engage in entrepreneurial activities and adapt to the global environment and societal needs.

Achievement

This programme offers in full-time mode. Each academic year comprises 2 semesters (from Year 1 to Year 4). In their third year, students are required to choose either operation concentration or innovation concentration.

 Award requirements:

To graduate student should:

• Attain a total of not less than 120 credit hours with minimum CGPA of 2.0.
• Pass industrial training (equivalent to 10 credit hours).
• Complete and pass the undergraduate research project (4 credit hours).
• Complete and pass the UTM Professional Skill Certificate

Entry Requirements

1. MATRIKULASI / ASASI

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

Matriculation/Foundation Requirements:

• Pass Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi Sains UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM with a minimum of:
  • CGPA 2.00

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

2. STPM

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

STPM Requirements:

• Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of:
  • CGPA 2.00
  • Gred C for Pengajian Am
  • Two (2) Gred C in other subjects.

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

3. STAM

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

STAM Requirements:

• Minimum Pangkat JAYYID in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM).

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

4. DIPLOMA UNIVERSITI AWAM / POLITEKNIK / KOLEJ KOMUNITI

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

Diploma Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma from IPTA / ILKA / IPTS or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate (Specific requirements depend on the programme offered at UA).

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

5. DIPLOMA TVET (DKM/DLKM/DVM)

Diploma Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM), Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) or Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM), recognised as equivalent by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate (Specific requirements depend on the programme offered at UA).

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

6. DIPLOMA IPTS / ILKA DAN LAIN-LAIN

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

Diploma Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma from IPTA / ILKA / IPTS or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate (Specific requirements depend on the programme offered at UA).

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

7. KELAYAKAN SETARAF (Equivalent Qualifications)

SPM Requirements:

• Gred C for Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (Kertas Julai).
• Gred E for Sejarah (from 2013 onwards).

Academic Requirements:

• Matriculation/Foundation:
  • Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.00
• STPM:
  • Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of:
    • CGPA 2.00
    • Gred C for Pengajian Am
    • Two (2) Gred C in other subjects.
• STAM:
  • Minimum Pangkat JAYYID in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM).
• Other Equivalent Qualifications:
  • Graduates from Malaysian Sports School Pre-U, GCE A-Level, International Baccalaureate Diploma, Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), or other qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate.

MUET:

• Minimum BAND 1.0 (Session 1, 2021 onwards) or BAND 1 (before 2020), valid at the application date.

Career Prospects

Graduates of the programme may work as Tecnology Commercialization Associate, Technology Transfer Officers, Technology Licensing Associate, Venture Capital Investment Analyst, Production Controllers, Logistic Officers, Procurement Offcers, Supply Chain Officer, Operations Executive, Quality Control Officer, Project Management Officers, Customers Service Officers, Corporate Planner, Business Consultant, etc.

Study Abroad Pathway

Students are given the opportunity to register for courses in participating local and international universities.  The grades and credits gained can be transferred for purposes of graduation.
