Course Overview

This degree equips students with comprehensive skills to develop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. They will learn about sensor technology, cloud integration, system design, and the secure deployment of IoT applications across various industries. Aligned with IR4.0 needs, the programme ensures technical proficiency and industry readiness through AWS Academy and hands-on projects.

Curriculum

• Level 1: Databases, Networking, Python, Security, Systems Analysis, Digital Thinking, Introduction to IoT.
• Level 2: Java, IoT Connectivity, Developing IoT Applications, Network Security, Mobile Tech, HCI, Research Methods.
• Level 3: Distributed Systems, Edge Computing, Emergent Tech, IoT Project, Project Management, Cloud Services.
• Internship: 16 weeks

Entry Requirements

• STPM: 2 Passes with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM.
• A-Level: 2 Passes with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
• UEC: 5 Grade B Passes in any subjects including Mathematics.
• Matriculation/Foundation: Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or equivalent.
• Diploma: Science, Technology or Business studies with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and with Credit in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE or equivalent.
• ICT Related Diplomas: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 and fulfilment of Credit Transfer requirements subject to APU approval. CGPA above 2.0 and below 2.5 subject to rigorous assessment.

English Requirements

• TOEFL IBT: 40
• Pearson (PTE): 47
• MUET: Band 3.5
