Course Overview

Programme focuses on essential knowledge and skills in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) precision machining technologies and processes. Applications of CNC precision machining includes CNC milling 2 & 3 axis, CNC milling 5 axis, CNC turning and CNC grinding where the programme will cover the concept of CNC machining and machine setup. Computer software programmes such as CATIA and Powermill will be used to design parts and create programmes to run the CNC machines performing production runs and job set-ups in a manufacturing environment.

Entry Requirements

1. Pass SPM/SVM (or equivalent) with at least 3 credits including Mathematics & Science/Technical.
2. Pass STPM/STAM (or equivalent) with principal in any subjects and pass in Mathematics, English, and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject at SPM level.
3. Pass Vocational and Technical/Skills certificate (SKM 3) which is recognised or equivalent to a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with at least a Credit in one (1) subject at SPM level
4. APEL A : minimum 3 years working experience in a relevant field.
