Course Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) is a 3-year programme offering four specializations: Data Management, Game Computing, Mobile Computing, and Network Computing. Approved by MQA, the curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills development, including industrial training and a research project component.

Students gain industry experience through practical training and develop specialized technical skills in their chosen focus area. The program emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving while preparing graduates for diverse IT careers.

Curriculum

Year 1: IT Fundamentals, Programming, Databases, Computer Networks, Operating Systems

Year 2: Information Security, Web Technologies, Specialization Courses (begin)

Year 3: Advanced Specialization Courses, Industrial Training, Research Project

Entry Requirements

• UEC: Pass with Grade B in (5) subjects including Mathematics and (4) other subjects
• STPM/STAM: Pass with minimum Grade C/Jayyid in (2) subjects and credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or take reinforcement Mathematics)
• Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with CGPA 2.00 and credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or take reinforcement Mathematics)
• Diploma: Pass Diploma in Non-Computing with CGPA 2.75 (or 2.50-2.75 subject to assessment)
• APEL: Age 21+ with relevant experience
• English Requirement: IELTS: 5.0 | TOEFL PBT: 500 | MUET: Band 3
