Course Overview

The Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Honours) program equips students with essential knowledge and practical skills for a successful career in quantity surveying. The program focuses on cost management, contract administration, innovative technology (including BIM), and sustainable practices in construction.

Students gain industry exposure through practical training and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, preparing graduates for the dynamic construction industry.

Curriculum

Year 1: Construction Measurement, Building Technology, Construction Materials, CAD/BIM, Construction Economics

Year 2: Advanced Measurement, Estimating, Construction Law, Project Management, Professional Practice

Year 3: Civil Engineering Measurement, Multidisciplinary Projects, Final Year Project, Practical Training (Semester 3)

Entry Requirements

• UEC: Pass with Grade B in (5) subjects including Mathematics, English and Bahasa Melayu
• STPM: Pass STPM with Minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) in (3) subjects
• Foundation: Pass Foundation in related field with Minimum CGPA 2.50
• Diploma: Diploma or equivalent in related area (Level 4 MQF) with min CGPA 2.67
• Others: Other equivalent qualification approved by SENATE and Government of Malaysia
• English Requirement: IELTS: 5.0 | TOEFL PBT: 500 | MUET: Band 3
