The curriculum of the MSU diploma programme in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) uniquely integrates basic knowledge of modern and conventional medical practices with traditional and complementary ones. You will be taught by experienced, industry-expert TCM practitioners. The learning opportunities and experiences we provide will add depth and breadth to your understanding and develop both your vocational and life skills. Please take note that only Bachelor level is allowed to be registered as a TCM Practitioner. TCM practitioners/physicians are regulated by the Malaysian TCM Practitioners Board governed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) through the Traditional & Complementary Medicine Act.

You need at least a Credit in any THREE (3) subjects at SPM/SPMV level and a Pass in Science and Mathematics OR a Pass Certificate recognized by the Ministry of Health’s Department of Traditional & Contemporary Medicine (T&CM) plus one year working experience in a relevant field OR a PTPL Certificate in a relevant field OR an equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.
Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) is a three-year career-focused industry-developed programme of MSU’s School of Pharmacy.
