Course Overview

The Master of Quality Management (MQM) program will provide you with a thorough grounding in the theory and application of the various concepts that form the basis of Total Quality Management (TQM).The Master of Quality Management Program is a unique programme developed based on the knowledge related to quality management encompassing areas of Total Quality Management, Quality Improvement Tools & Methods ISO 9001: 2008 QMS, ISO 14001: 2004, EMS and ISO 18001: 2007 OSHAS.

Leverage on quality management strengthen weaknesses that exists in the management and operational system of an organization. Skills and knowledge in quality management assist to formulate the countermeasures relevant to eliminate the weakness within any organisation.

This programme is developed to prepare competent quality engineers and quality managers in the job market. At OUM, this programme is further strengthened by collaborating with SIRIM Training Bhd., where a mixture of academics and industrial experts will be integrated in the teaching and learning process. The involvement of Quality Experts from SIRIM Training Bhd. in the development of the learning materials and in the teaching process will further enhanced this area of study especially in the current educational arena which prepares graduates relevant to the competencies expected by employers.

Entry Requirements

Normal Entry

Bachelor degree in any field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by Senate; Flexible Entry
Bachelor degree in any field with CGPA less than 2.50, can be accepted with a minimum of 5 years working
experience.

OR

APEL Admission

More than 30 years of age on 1 January in the year of application; AND
STPM / Recognised Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent; AND
Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND
Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview) conducted by OUM
