The Bachelor of Wood Science and Technology (B. Wood Sc. Tech.) was?introduced in 2006 to meet the critical needs of the timber industry in Malaysia (although?courses in wood science and technology have existed since?1971). The objective of this programme is to?produce trained manpower in the field of wood processing and manufacturing management, including the use of the latest information and current?technology. Specifically, this programme will produce graduates knowledgeable in the management of forest resources,?wood-based manufacturing technology and wood materials, as well as?competent?managers in wood processing and manufacturing.
