As Malaysia continues to grow, the retail industry is set for growth. The management of a shopping mall, from its identity to tenant mix and subsequently to the management of overall shopping mall and tenant relationships, requires special skills and knowledge. Brands to survive and remain competitive in the retail industry, in addition to their marketing and promotional strategies, requires special attention to their display and mechandising decisions.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) Retail Management programme in UTAR emphasises on inculcating strong foundation and innovative application. This programme shapes its students to be analytical and creative in the overall management of retailing. Students will be trained in fundamental areas and eventually progressed to specialised areas concerning retailing. These areas include mechandising , logistics and supply chain management, and customer relationship management.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) Retail Management are eligible for certain exemptions from the professional examinations of MACS.

TVET Diplomas: Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) 1. Must be fully accredited by MQA. 2. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 or CGPA 2.00 with at least 2 years working experience in relevant field, subject to Senate / Academic Board’s approval. 3. Applicants will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure. 4. Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect.
