Course Overview

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education was introduced in 2012 and achieved full accreditation in 2014.

This programme includes essential elements such as pedagogy skills, child development, curriculum content, educational psychology, teaching and learning theories, assessment of children’s learning, safety and nutrition aspects, as well as the spiritual and moral development of children.

Year 3

Entry Requirements

Option 1 : Entry with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Vokasional (SPM / SPMV)

Pass the SPM / SPMV with 3 credits in any subject.

Option 2: Entry with Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)

• Pass the SKM Level 3 in Early Childhood Care / Preschool.
• Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least one credit in any subject.

Option 3: Entry with Sijil Pendidikan Awal Kanak-Kanak

Pass the Early Childhood Education Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00.

Option 4: Entry with Sijil Kolej Komuniti

• Pass the Community College Certificate equivalent to (Level 3, MQF) in a related field.
• Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least one credit in any subject.
