Course Overview

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Widad University College (WUC) is designed for students who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the respective areas.

Participants come from various backgrounds including practitioners from various industries, which allow students to engage in critical discussions in the classroom. The 18 months MBA programme at WUC comprises an intensive series of stimulating lectures, seminars, team work projects, and blended learning.

Most importantly, some of WUC MBA lecturers have professional and industrial experiences in the fields of accounting, business, finance and, and logistics, which further enhances the quality of our MBA via teaching and research.

Entry Requirements

1. Option 1 : A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields

2. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate.

3. Option 2: A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields

4. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.

5. Option 3: A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields

6. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.

7. Option 4: A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields

8. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.

9. Option 5: Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF)

10. Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.

11. Graduation Requirements

12. Students are required to obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00, complete dissertation and projects as well as to complete the minimum credit hours for each respective program.

13. English Requirement

14. Foreign students are required to have proficiency in written and spoken English with one of the following forms:
15. A minimum MUET score of Band 4; or
16. Equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2).
17. Exceptions: Students from countries: the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, in which English is their native language. However, students from these countries must submit evidence of support.
18. Exceptions: International students with Bachelor degrees from Malaysian universities, English requirement are not needed.

Career Prospects

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) develops both practical knowledge and skills that are necessary for your development in the workplace. It will prepare you for employment either locally or within the international arena.

Graduates can continue his/her study to PhD level in the same course or any course related to this field at any university either in Malaysia or abroad.

Widad University College Master of Business Administration (MBA) prepares candidates for upper-level management positions in finance, investment banking, management and health-care administration. Thus, graduate are capable to hold any job position either in public or private sectors. Among the job position available to our graduates are management consultant, marketing manager, investment banker, operation manager, financial advisor, and researcher.
