Course Overview

The Diploma in Islamic Banking is a programme designed to produce students who are competent and possess a solid understanding of Islamic Banking.

Given the challenges arising from the globalisation process, it is crucial to recognise the Islamic banking industry as a primary source of financing for the domestic economy.

Therefore, it is essential to understand Malaysia's banking system, with a specialisation in Islamic Banking.

The Diploma in Islamic Banking is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM). Graduates will be awarded the Associate Qualification of Islamic Finance (AQIF) by IBFIM upon completion of their studies.

Entry Requirements

Option 1: Entry with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Vokasional (SPM / SPMV)

• Pass the SPM with at least 3 credits, including Bahasa Melayu.
• Pass in English.
• Pass in Mathematics.

Option 2: Entry with Pre-Diploma / Certificate / Matriculation / Equivalent Qualification

Pass Pre-Diploma / Certificate / Matriculation or any other equivalent qualification from institutions accredited by MQA and recognised by the Malaysian Government.
